1. Sardu Waterfall
Place: Close to Sardu Khola and only a 20-minute drive to Dharan Bazaar
A picturesque and not very big waterfall hidden in silence. It is great to have a relaxing picnic or a light hiking. The water is good and the green sceneries are refreshing in summer.
2. Vijayapur Hilltop View
Place: On a hill over Pindeshwor, (with a small trail)
The hill top is less known and it provides panoramic sort of a view of Dharan Valley with a spectacular view during sunrise. Unlike Bhedetar, it is not a commercialized place and you may be the only person there.
3. Hariyali Temple forest track
Place: behind Dantakali Temple
A lot of people have visited Dantakali and most of them do not know that there is a serene forest trail that commences at the back of Dantakali and moves toward a moonlight under the hiding place of shrine, Hariyali. It is a shaded trail that is cool, thus, ideal for thought or contemplation.
4. Zero Kilo riverside spot
Place: Zero K.M. (Junction of Koshi highway)
A scenic place, a riverbank, where people can gather locally, fish, or even rest. it does not form a tour.
It is a hangout among the locals at night after the sun goes down.
5. Buddha Mandir in Japanese Temple
Site: Buddha Chowk
